CertainTeed has made several product announcements in recent weeks, expanding both product offerings and available colors on existing lines.

Vinyl siding

In March, the company announced it has expanded the colors available on its Cedar Impressions polymer and Northwoods vinyl siding product lines.

In the Cedar Impressions line, Individual 5-inch Sawmill shingles and mitered corners are now available in Colonial White, Natural Clay, Savannah Wicker, Seagrass and Sterling Gray. The 7-inch Straight Edge Perfection shingles, as well as outside corner, inside corner, j-channel, undersill trim, cornice mold and bay window corner accessories, are available in solid colors that complement the Cedar Blend colors.

“Since we launched the latest Cedar Impressions with Ageless Cedar color blend technology back in 2017, the demand for our authentic cedar shingle look with proprietary color-through blended technology has been overwhelming,” Brian Kirn, siding products senior marketing manager for CertainTeed, said in a statement. “The new additions come in response to many requests for solid colors to mimic the look of painted or dipped shingles that still have that rough sawn lumber texture of real wood.”

The Northwoods Single 7-inch Straight Edge Perfection Shingle is now available in Colonial White, Sandstone Beige and Desert Tan, expanding the color options to 20.

Fencing products

Earlier in March, CertainTeed debuted a new spindle accent for vinyl privacy fences at the FenceTech conference in Indiana.

The Bufftech Chesterfield mimics stained wood and is available in 4-foot, 5-foot and 6-foot heights.

In late February, a new line of balusters for the EverNew Kingston and Oxford vinyl railing systems were announced. The aluminum balusters are powder coated in matte black and available in 3-foot and 3.5 foot heights.

“Adding dark balusters to any railing gives a dramatic look to a deck or patio area,” Matt Rapposelli, outdoor living product manager for CertainTeed, said in a statement. “The upgrade complements the EverNew railing product family and provides even more mix-and-match options for that personal touch homeowners look for in their outdoor living spaces.”
