Builder Product Spotlight

Second-generation owners Heather Schreiner and Alison Johnson of Associates in Building + Design (ABD) take pride in knowing their dedicated, trained and focused team is committed to building relationships one home at a time. Their father, Kenneth Millard, founded ABD in 1990 as a design-builder of custom homes and remodeling work. Today, ABD’s in-house team of 12 serves clients along the northern end of the Front Range from their office in Fort Collins.

For ABD, building trust is the basis of keeping clients for life, and solid relationships with trade partners, material suppliers and product manufacturers are the cornerstone of successful construction. To get the ABD recommendation, a product must be warrantied, logically installed and serviced by local experts who care about quality.

Schluter Systems

Established in 1966 by master tile setter Werner Schlüter, Schluter Systems offers tile edge profiles, shower systems, waterproof membranes, building panels, floor warming systems, modular screen systems as well as exterior systems and setting materials. It all began while the young tile setter was working on an unusual bathroom project in Germany that included four thresholds. Typically, exposed tile edges were left vulnerable to chipping and breaking. Searching for a solution to a common problem, Schlüter developed a metal L-shaped angle, installed as a finished edge beneath the tile, and the Schluter®-SCHIENE was born.
