BACKHOES
CASE
CASE Construction Equipment introduced a fully electric backhoe loader in March. The 580 EV is powered by a 480-volt, 90-kilowatt-hour lithium ion battery pack, which can be charged by any 220-volt/three-phase connection. A full charge will last about one eight-hour workday, according to the company.
The new backhoe includes similar features to Case’s line of diesel equipment, including ProControl swing dampening system and Comfort Steer. Enhanced joystick controls and premium seat options improve operator comfort.
The new backhoe features Michelin CrossGrip tires, which can be used on grass, road and snow, and are designed for high load capacity with minimal vibration.
