For its 25th anniversary, the Home Builders Foundation set a straightforward goal: raise $25,000 on Colorado Gives Day.
“Our goal was to raise $25,000 this year and we did it,” Beth Forbes, executive director of HBF, said in a statement.

Colorado Gives Day is a statewide charitable giving campaign created by Community First Foundation. Since its launch in 2010, it has raised more than $182 million for nonprofits around the state.
This year, more than 90 donors helped HBF meet its goal.
“The donations we received on Colorado Gives Day help us do more to support the disabled community and ensure those within that community are able to continue to live full and supported lives,” Forbes said.
“This is a big part of our annual operating budget and we are ecstatic to be a part of the $1 Million Incentive Fund,” she added.

The $1 Million Incentive Fund was created by Community First Foundation and FirstBank to boost the value of donations made on Colorado Gives Day. Nonprofits that receive donations also receive a proportional share of the fund based on the amount raised by the charity and the total amount raised by the campaign.
