Houzz, a home remodeling and design platform, is giving out $2,500 scholarships to aspiring design and construction professionals.
The program supports those studying interior design, construction, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural engineering or skilled trades. Students can apply for any of the five scholarships in the categories of Women in Architecture, Residential Design, Sustainable Residential Design, Residential Construction Management and Skilled Trades.
Applicants must create a Houzz student profile and submit a brief essay on their design and architecture influences. The deadline for applications is March 31. Students can learn more at houzz.com/scholarships.
“We are investing in programs that encourage people to pursue careers in residential remodeling and design and give students free subscriptions to our industry-leading project management software so they can stand out to future employers,” said Liza Hausman, vice president of industry marketing at Houzz, in a statement.
The company also has Houzz Pro for Students, which gives students in residential construction and design-related programs a free one-year subscription to Houzz Pro, a business management and marketing software for industry professionals.
