SiteOne Acquires Pioneer Landscape

SiteOne Landscape Supply buys Pioneer Landscape Centers

Pioneer Landscape Centers announced in September that it has been sold to SiteOne Landscape Supply.

In a press release, Pioneer said the sale was the logical next step for the company, which has spent the last few years investing in its technology and processes to help streamline distribution, inventory and sales. “SiteOne is a strategic leader in customer service,” said Kevin Guzior, Pioneer’s president. “Joining the SiteOne family will afford us a multitude of opportunities to grow and better serve our employees and customers.”

SiteOne is a national wholesale distributor of landscape supplies in the United States and Canada. It provides design, installation and maintenance services for lawns, gardens, golf course and other outdoor spaces for residential and commercial landscapers.

Established in 1968, Pioneer has been a leading distributor of hardscape and landscape supply products in the area, with 35 locations in Colorado and Arizona. “For more than 55 years, Pioneer has built a strong business with talented associates, a strategic network of locations in high-growth markets and best-in-class delivery capability,” said Doug Black, SiteOne’s chairman and CEO, in a statement. “The combination of SiteOne and Pioneer makes us the clear market leader in Colorado and Arizona with terrific capability to serve landscaping customers across this fast-growing region.”

The sale to SiteOne follows Pioneer’s decision, earlier this year, to sell its quarry operations to Holcim US.
